Necessary to develop tourism in Kazakhstan: President[Tuesday, July 01 @ 16:40:32 MSD]

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev charged to assume necessary measures in order to develop tourism in the country, Kazinform reports.

УTourism is a source of income for the national budgets worldwide. The number of tourists visiting Kazakhstan each year grows, however, one can hardly say the domestic tourism is developed enough,Ф the Head of the State said on Friday at the extended session of the social council on УCultural HeritageФ Programme Realization.

President Nazarbayev, therefore, noted it was necessary to develop transport infrastructure. УRecently we have started construction of УWest Europe-West ChinaФ road that will link Kazakhstan, Russia, Europe and China. Three historic monuments are situated on this route,Ф he said.

The Kazakh leader charged akim (mayor) of Astana city and Culture and Information Ministry of Kazakhstan Уto open a large international museum and to collect the most important historic УtreasuresФ that were found within the framework of the УCultural HeritageФ Programme in it.Ф УThe tourists who will visit Astana should get to know the contribution Kazakhstan made to the development of the human civilization since the times of saks and guns (ancient Kazakh tribes) up to this day from the exhibit items of this museum,Ф he added.

The Head of the State also charged akims (heads) of the region to continue the work on preservation of the historic monuments.
